Did Death Battle get it right or wrong?: Hulk vs Doomsday

This is a series of blogs where I look at somewhat controversial episodes of Death Battle. Today is Hulk vs Doomsday, last time was Carnage vs Lucy. check it out.

Origin

Hulk

The child of an abusive father, Bruce Banner grew up shy and introverted, yet a scientific genius. As a young man, thanks to his standout work in the field of nuclear physics, he attracted the attention of the U.S. Army who wanted to adapt his theories for weaponry. Banner resisted such notions, but failed attempts at landing steady work convinced him to accept a position at a federal nuclear research facility at a missile base in the New Mexico desert.

At the base, Banner was befriended by Betty Ross, daughter of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a man who took an instant disliking to the diminutive, passive scientist. While at the base, Banner began to develop and build a bomb that utilized a high concentration of gamma radiation, a project of high interest to an undercover foreign agent stationed there. When a teenager named Rick Jones wandered onto the test field just as Banner started the countdown for the gamma bomb’s initial test detonation, the scientist rushed out to the area to warn Jones, but the foreign agent purposefully continued the test. The bomb exploded, bathing Bruce Banner in its radiation.

Incredibly, he survived the detonation, but later in the evening transformed into a large, grey, man-like monstrosity dubbed a “hulk” by one of the base’s soldiers.

Only Rick Jones witnessed the transformation, and perhaps out of a feeling of guilt over Banner’s exposure to the gamma rays shepherded the creature to a place of safety until it changed back into the scientist. Once realizing what had occurred, Banner accepted Jones’ help and began to work on a cure for his incredible situation in secret, but the Hulk—now with green skin, rather than grey—continued to emerge and quickly earned the enmity of General Ross.

Bruce Banner’s intelligence has made him one of the world’s leading authorities on nuclear physics, as well as other related disciplines, but these qualities become submerged normally upon his transformation into the monstrous Hulk, who exists as a physical extension of his pent-up rage and mental imbalance.

The Hulk’s strength remains at the top level of all super human beings on Earth and increases exponentially as his anger grows. This strength grants him not only upper body prowess, but also the ability to leap great distances and land without harm to himself. The Hulk’s skin is nearly impenetrable and his lung capacity allows for long periods of submersion in water, exposure to many forms of gases, and even to temporary survival in the airless vacuum of outer space

Banner’s transformations are usually triggered by adrenaline rushes when he becomes anxious, nervous, or angry, which lead to similar feelings in the Hulk. Normally, the scientist’s personality and intelligence give way to his alter-ego’s brutish mindset, creating what appears to be two different personas who seem to share only the singular desire to be left alone

Origin

Doomsday
Krypton was a harsh wasteland, filled with nothing but sharp rocks, poisonous air, and violent predators. A Scientist named Bertron believed that if he could create something that could live through that, they could survive just about anywhere. Bertron was able to find a baby to finally test his theory. So he put that baby in some Cannon, and yeeted that little fucker to the wild and picked up the remaining body parts, and he did that over and over and over... And over again. The idea being each new clone would be stronger than the one before, thus covering millions of years of evolution in just a few decades.

After 30 years of child abuse, finally one baby survived. Bertron was amazed by his..well absolute abomination of a baby, and named him the ultimate. But everybody else just calls him Doomsday.

But there was one thing Bertron forgot to do, which is memory wipe Doomsday, because of this, Doomsday remembered every single time Bertron had him killed. So yeah... needles to say Doomsday brutally murdered  Bertron. After taking his Revenge on Bertron he went after planet after planet murdered everything he saw. Until he got to earth, where he met Superman.

Doomsday and Superman had an extremely tense fight, but in the end Superman won, but he ended up dying next to Doomsday....nah I'm just fuckin with ya. Superman just went into a sleeping coma. Doomsday also didn't actually die. Turns out, when Doomsday "dies" he becomes Immune to the thing that killed him in the first place.

Equipment

Hulk
Pants
Hulk has some nice pants. Pretty iconic TBH.

ABILITIES

Hulk
Healing Factor

Hulk's regen is pretty nuts. Able to heal from having his skin burned off. He's survived having his whole body put inside a jar however Hulk escaped rather easily and re-formed all of his body.

Green Door

Hulk can freely use the green door to return. The memory lost weakness isn't a problem for Hulk.

When the Gamma mutates come back to life. All their wounds disappear. If they die to complete disintegration it will take time to recover Though that shouldn't be a weakness for Hulk. Seeing how Hulk can use the green door whenever.

Absorption
Hulk can absorb beings caught in the middle of his healing process. ⁱᵗ'ˢ ʳᵉᵃˡˡʸ ᵍʳᵒˢˢ.

Extrasensory Perception
Hulk can smell liars. That's not all however, Hulk can even see ghosts.

The below place

The Below place is in the deepest section of Hell. The bottom center of all creation. It is home to The One Below All or TOBA for short Tl:dr. The place sucks.

It has now been shown that everytime Hulk dies, he ends up in the Below Place where he can just, come back when he feels like.

This is an ability he technically always has had, but it wasn't shown or said until Immortal Hulk

A huge appetite

Hulk do be eating that good shit.

Abilities

Doomsday

Spikes: Doomsday can shoot large spikes out of his body, that spreads poison across the victim's body.

Biological manipulation: Doomsday can infect other beings by just touching them.

Immortality: Doomsday can come back from anything that kills him, and then proceed to be Immune to the thing that killed him in the first place.

Power

Hulk
       •Punches time (As shown above)

°TOBA avatar was stronger than Mephisto. Mephisto is stated to be just as powerful as Odin. Odin in his fight with Zeus Shook infinite embassy.

•Shown being equal with Onslaught

°Onslaught Effortlessly stomped Juggernaut ᵇⁱᵗᶜʰ

°Pandora Box is equal to 133.45 Hercules

Speed

°And travel Across millions of light years in short timeframes

Durability

Was able to push through a beam that repelled all of reality.

Power
Doomsday

Note: ᵗʰⁱˢ ᶠᵉᵃᵗ ⁱˢ ᵇᵒᵗʰ ᵃⁿ ⁱˡˡᵘˢⁱᵒⁿ ᵃⁿᵈ ʳᵉᵃˡ

Speed
•Stated to be faster than Flash.
•Shown to be equal with Superman, who's so fast he was time traveling with his speed through the time stream until he flew through a timeless, placeless dimension. Superman flew out of the source

 Durability
•Took Blasts from Superman Booster Gold and other hero's, and Was fine.

THE VERDICT
ⁱᵗ'ˢ ᵛᵉʳᵈⁱᶜᵗ ᵗⁱᵐᵉ ᵇᵃᵇʸ ʷᵒᵒ
With Hulk's Absolute uncanny strength and Doomsday's Resurrection and Immortality. This Matchup truly felt like a unstoppable force vs an immoveable object.

"This is just an Avatar of Darkseid who cares?"
Thing is, it wasn't an Avatar. It was the real Darkseid. A.K.A true form Darkseid. Someone who's easily Outerversal. Who has the power of all of his past aspects. Like soulfire and godhead. Soulfire Darkseid fought the Source. Darkseid once even took over the narrative of the story.

So not only does this prove Doomsday is on Hulk's league of power, it also makes him debatably stronger as well. Doomsday was able to beat Darkseid into unconsciousness. This proofs that not only can Doomsday harm Outerversal beings, he can beat them as well.

"So, Hulk gets stronger the angrier he gets. So why couldn't he just get angry enough to just punch Doomsday really hard or rip him in half?"
Thing is, Doomsday been ripped in half and pummeled by so many times that well he was essentially immune to brute force.  Hell even sending him to the end of time wouldn't work. He's been hit with that already!

So while Hulk didn't have a way to end the fight. Doomsday did. You see Hulk can't always be Hulking out forever. There's been times when Hulk literally couldn't be in Hulk mode anymore and turned back into Bruce Banner. So, while Doomsday could keep fighting for potentially forever, Hulk didn't have that luxury. Giving Doomsday the perfect chance to get the win.

Doomsday also had other advantage even though they were most likely pretty small.

Doomsday's flight granted him better maneuverability then Hulk making it hard for Hulk to get a good hit in.

Doomsday's Teleportation allowed him another option to avoid Hulk's attacks and theoretically Doomsday could use this to teleport Hulk to anywhere he wanted. While Doomsday isn't the smartest, he was smart enough to remember 30 years of toture from Bertron and take revenge.

While Hulk certainly was tough. I just see Doomsday winning this one.

THE WINNER IS DOOMSDAY

RATIO SO FAR
RIGHT:8
WRONG:2
